Does anyone know where to find a free Point of sale system online for free to download?

I'm openning a retail store and the only thing missing is a POS system. I don't have enough to buy a real POS system, the full POS hardware/software is $1999.99 and just a POS software is $599.99 at Costco. I've tried a search online but no luck, only the free trails comes up. I've got a computer that I can turn it to a PC cash register but no software. Can anyone help me please, it would mean so much to me. Now a stores there are new check out systems, is there a place where they sell the old point of sale systems, is it cheaper or the same with buying a new one? Sorry petrasell doesn't work, its just a demo. Thanks for the suggestion.

The only POS freeware I could find is called Petrasell Point of sale. The ratings are not that great on download.com , however, it is free so it may be worth a try.
