What point of sale package (software+hardware) would you recommend for my hotdog food cart?

I have a small hotdog food cart business in one of the malls here in our area. the cash register im using is 15 years old and i would like to upgrade to a POS but we're quite short in budget. I wonder if you can recommend inexpensive but reliable POS? thanks!

1. a cashbox. available at your local office supply store probably about 15-20 bucks each. Pretty good deal to me i would think
