Citizen Printer

What is the Model # of your HP Inkjet Printer, & what HP Inkjet Cartridges Does It Use ?

Such As: My HP Deskjet All-In-One uses 21 Black, 22 Tri-Color, & 58 Photo. It would also be helpful if you would say wheather your printer is a "Stand Alone", or if it needs to be connected to your computer to operate. Other than the Inkjet Cartridges HP says you will need for your printer, have you found any other HP Inkjet Cartridges that will interchange ?; such as: My HP Officejet 4215 uses 56 Black & 57 Tri-Color. The 4215 can also operate with 21 Black, 22 Tri-Color, 58 Photo, 59 Photo; it MAY also accept the 54 Black. My HP 842 uses 15 Black & 17 Tri-Color. It can also operate with 45 Black; I have found no substitution for the 17 Tri-Color. My HP 712 uses 15 Black & 23 Tri-Color. It can also operate with 45 Black; I have found no substitution for the 23 Tri-Color. Has your HP Printer's firmware "Locked-Out" the HP-96 Black? What is your opinion of "Commercial Refillers" ? Thanks, Ken C. "Little Covered Wagon Cartridge X-change"

  1. ken how many times do you ask this question ? really you must have worked it out bye now i have answered at least 6 times
  2. My HP F-380 All-In-One printer/scanner/copier uses those same cartridges (21,22,58) And I was reading somewhere that it was one of the $8,000.00 a gallon (of ink) printers that was on the market. So much for a good deal! Had a Canon LBP-460 B&W Laser Jet many years ago; It went about a year (in an office)om one B&W cartridge, so I'll be buying Canon next time! (and it printed better too) PS: the HP will copy with-out a computer running. and I've been buying twin packs at Cost-Co for what a B&W and a Color cost elsewhere. I've not tried refilling any but will consider it after I get two or three empties laying around. The electronics may be able to sense (HP TECH told me so) a difference in viscosity or electrical resistance of a different kind of ink and shut down (ERROR!!!), and call HP, Void your warranty, and in general fry the guts!
