Which inkjet printers DON'T use expiration chips in their cartridges?

I have two multifunction HP inkjet printers that work great except that their cartridges have a chip that makes it unusable after the expiration date. I know there are workarounds with this, but I would rather just buy another brand that doesn't have this issue, something like Canon or Epson perhaps. What are your recommendations?
