Citizen Printer

What are some good inkjet 4 in 1 printers?

I'm thinking about replacing my Epson Stylus 820 printer with a 4 in 1 printer. My epson still works but it's lacking a copier and fax. I dunno if i should use laser or inkjet. In fact I dunno the difference. My printer is mainly used for personal stuff like homework. What are some good printers? I want my printer to have the print back-front function too. My epson also is lacking that and i always have to turn the papers over. I'm looking for printers under $300. Which store is the best place to buy it? Circuit city, Frys, Best buy? Staples? I m looking for a printer that wouldnt cause me alot of money on inks

  1. Go for the HP Multi Functional Printer (Scan, Copy, Print & Fax) . It has all the qualities you are looking for. I won't mention the model number here as new models are floated in market on a short intervals. Look into www.hp.com and yes, your search will be over.
  2. I have a Epson DX3800 and I only paid £58 for it, and up until now it as been excellent, it as four cartridge and I paid £13.99 for 12 on the Internet they are compatible but they work very well.
  3. I really like brother printers, the are cheap and dirty 5 - 1 machines. yes 5 in one. (printer, scanner, copier, fax, phone) Some are actually 6 in one, however I have no idea what option 6 is. The ink won't cost you a fortune. They do shut down when you run out of ink, however being an epson user you are familiar with that headache. They do not do the most brilliant photo, however the are absolute work horses and the cartridges won't break the bank. Some of the higher end models have an auto duplexer for two sided printing, however it will be hard to find that feature in your price range.
  4. Brother MFC series. Run you less than $100. It's a 6 in 1. Scan , copy, fax, phot capture, Colour printer., PC Fax. You'll get 500 pages b/w at 5% coverage (like doing reports), you can get compatible carts for $5-10. It doesn't have the flip the page option. Pick it up at Staples. Your other choice is a laser printer (likely monochrome) for your price range, but if you get a brother all in one one it will give you the flip side printing you want. Cost you about $300. Will print 6000 page 5% coverage on one toner cartridge.
