pos printer problem, already installed drivers?

i just downloaded drivers for my epson 0220 pd , and when i go into printers and faxes the printer is their but it says not ready, it wont print a test page or anything, do i need some kind of software or something whats going on help im going crazy

1. It sounds to me like you have the printer hooked up correctly but have not installed the CD that comes with printers. You must install any CD that comes with printers otherwise you will not be able to print.
