Best way to buy printer ink?
from mfg? from retailers? from online discount-huts? Where's the cheapest, fastest, most-reliable way to get ink for an inkjet? Specifically I need lexmark 15+16 cartridges.

- try Amazon.
- Ink jet printers are a scam. I was paying close to $.50 per page when you consider all the cartridges I had to replace because I had not used the printer in two weeks and the ink had dried. So, I bought a Brother laser printer (obtainable at stores like Staples or OfficeMax) for about $150.00 and my printer ink nightmares are a thing of the past! I can buy toner cartridges for about $80.00 that even state the expected number of pages I can get on the package. In this case one cartridge produces 2600 pages. This is about $.03 per page. The downside is this type of printer only prints black and white but that suits me just fine. With ink jet printers there is no such thing as cheap ink.
- If you look around for supermarket specials or discount house bargains you can buy a new printer complete with cartridges for the same or not a lot more than the price of new cartridges for your existing printer. New cartridges for my Minolta were £24, I bought a brand new later model Minolta, with cartridges and more bells and whistles for £26.
- Costco. You get about three ink cartridges (2 black, and 1 color) for about $30-35. That is a great deal because in other places like Staples, Office Depot/Max, CVS, etc., they can be very expensive. By expensive I mean $21 per cartridge. So if you want fast, cheap ink cartridges...definitely check out Costco!
- Original ink from manufacturer will cost you somewhere around $30-200. If you want to save go for a re-manufactured ink. It'll cost you 3+ times cheaper although you get what you pay for. I read somewhere that independent printer ink testing says that 7% of re-manufactured ink or toner cartridges fail. Walmart might be a bit better than Target. Costco sometimes has better deals. I buy from this website: http://www.cheapprintersink.com It usually costs me about $13 for black ink for my Canon iP2600. I usually go for the cheap re-manufactured one. My printer was only $50, why would I spend more on ink?
- I try to find for you and I found this page http://www.amazon.com/Canon-CLI-221-4-Color-Magenta-2946B004/dp/B001CSMJKS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=pc&qid=1278480779&sr=1-1&tag=mom01-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957 Hope it help.
