Where can I get free download of full version of point of sale software with source code?

Problem is not software, but hardware. To what hardware will such software to talking to? Cash register drawer? Special keyboard? Pole display? Receipt Printer? --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Saving is great... especially if done by your parents.
