Need New Printer cartridges Do I have to buy two?

I have a Hewlett packard deskjet printer model 5552 I only need black ink, so do i need to buy the colour cartridge as well as the black one or can I get away with buying just the black one on its own ?? T

1. You buy them separately.
2. You can just buy each ink cartridge seperate. If you just need black ink, get black ink.
3. Yes you only need to buy the black one. However most printers have a indicator showing how much ink there is left. If the colour is below half it would be easier to get both so if you are in the middle of a print job and the colour runs out you can stick it straight in and continue. I usually buy mine in double packs and when I put the second one in I get another double pack so I never get caught out without ink.
