A question about ink refill kits...are they a hassle?

i've seen that ebay sells ink refill kits that are very cheap. 4$ with free shipping. but do they work? are they a hassle? the ink cartridges on my computer say "intended for single use" should i ignore that and still buy ink refills?

1. Don't do it! I tried to refill an ink cartridge on my HP 8500 and I ended up totally ruining my printer. Do yourself a favor and don't take the risk! You can save plenty enough money by just getting compatible cartridges. I've been getting mine from toneramerica.com and I haven't had any trouble.
