Printing through a receipt printer?

Ok...I have scanned something onto my computer and want to print it on thermal receipt paper. If I buy a receipt printer would it be pretty standard just like a regular printer? Or will it not work at all? Details please! I just want to make sure it will work before i actually buy the printer.

1. YES YES YES !!! They supply the correct dirvers according to your operating system and often, the drivers load into DOS and before windows logon so you can network the printer to work with other computers. But the paper has to be thermal is you want a copy for you and the other person.
