Citizen Printer

How do I Unplug the printer and monitor on my Acer 3610?

I managed to get the main panel off, and i can lift up the keyboard, but I can't get it unplugged (the ribbon) i tried tugging the ribbon a little but i didn't want to chance breaking anything. I also can't get the monitor off, I managed to unhook it, but there's a plug that connects it to the computer, and I can't unplug it. Again I tried gently pulling it, but I didn't want to pull too hard. Any Suggestions?

  1. Pull the ribbon cable, it will release, if you look on both sides of the ribbon cable you should see a clip that is securing the cable. Gently pry them towards the ribbon cable and it will release the clamp so you can reinstall the cable. If there are 2 wires still going to the monitor, they are the wireless card antenna wires. Take the cover off of the bottom of the laptop to get access to the card. Disconnect them from the card and then thread them back through the top. You may have to disassemble the laptop further, because they sometimes tape these to the board. You'll know once you get them loose from the card whether they are taped, jiggle them and if they move near the monitor they are not taped. Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.
