Best Printer For Printing Track Listings Onto CD-Rs Please?

Hi, I would appreciate pointers on this. Internet research seems to produce the following: -Casio and TDK make thermal printers that can print only appx 16 lines. As most CDs average about 20 tracks, this seems dumb! -Other thermal CD printers may allow for more lines to be printed but seem poor for reliability from user reviews. -Epson inkjet printers may take a long time to dry, upto 24 hrs according to some users. Any comments on this? -I have read nothing bad about the Canon iP4200, but would be interested in peoples' experiences...good or bad. -Lexmark seem not to make a printer with CD printing? Seems strange, but I couldn't find mention on their website. -Hewlett-Packard ...as Lexmark Would appreciate any other thoughts you have on this as well! Some people also say that the tray for printing CDs in the Epson is flimsy. Others report no problems. Perhaps a problem now resolved? Any experiences?

  1. I'm looking for an answer to the same question. I do have an Epson R200 which I bought maybe 2 yrs. ago. It prints cd's nicely, however even when they dry if you touch them with wet fingers or spill water on them, the ink will run and ruin it. I don't know if this problem has been solved with the Epson's yet. Flimsy tray? I didn't have a problem with it. It says it takes 24 hrs to dry... I don't think it matters if it is dry or not, it can still smudge when dried if you touch with damp fingers or get it wet.
