Citizen Printer

problem with my Hewlett Packard DeskJet 670C printer?

Its 10 years old and theres something wrong with it. It makes a screeching noise but nothing is jammed (I have checked thoroughly) there is paper in there (and not too much)the cartridge is in properly and everything looks visibly fine. I know quite a bit about computers but not much about printers. Please help! =] The catridge cradle is moving btw.

  1. Overtime the belt which moves the cartridge cradle can break down. This happens if the belt ages, or the cartridge cradle is Manley moved. The "screeching" is normally the belt slipping over the gears. Unfortunately if you cannot get the cartridge cradle to move anymore it is time for a new printer.
