How to reset the ink level on my HP Deskjet F4280 printer?

It said that I didn't have any ink left in the printer. But usually when I fill up the ink cartridges it will still print, even when it says I don't have any left. But now it's not printing anything, even after I filled up the cartridges. What am I doing wrong? Or is it my printer / computer?
