Dot Matrix Printer For Tattoo Stencils?

I ordered a dot matrix printer for tattoo stencils and have not got it yet. Tonight I was converting image to lines on irfan view by 1/ Edge Detection 2/Negative 3/Decrease color depth to 2 colors. After doing this the image ( not just one but many ) became very faint. Will then print off different on the stencil paper?

1. Without knowing more about the paper etc, we cam't answer that, but fot matrix can't do "grey" it's either "print" or "no print" on each pin space, so if there is something to print it should be visible, as long as the ribbon is in good order.
