custom built pc..200 $..is it worth it ?

Custom-built PC for sale. Includes AMD Athlon XP 3200+ CPU, 512 MB of RAM, Asus A7N8E-X (SATA compatible) motherboard, Geforce FX5200 128 MB AGP video card, 12X DVD-burner, and black case with USB ports in front and back. Also includes black 17" Dell CRT monitor, keyboard, mouse, a pair of speakers, inkjet printer and Ubuntu 7.10 operating system CD-ROM (www.ubuntu.com).. i didnt see what year was on it..i need a new computer..or should i say..a better one then the one i have. thank you for your answer.

  1. If the selling price is correct, $200, I'll buy it if you don't. The monitor alone would retail at around $200 by itself, not counting the printer, and other peripherals. Personally I would scrap the Ubuntu OS, but that's just my opinion.
  2. Hey Bill, For the price it's not bad. I would keep looking though, it's slow by today's standards. You will need to add memory $$$.........
  3. Its not great the motherboard itself is about 5 years old and by todays standards is obsolete I would keep searching for something a little newer. However the accesories with it are a good deal. Its really up to you. I myself would buy something newer thats future proof and can be upgraded as newer technology is released.

  5. I would take that deal just for the accessories. From there, either buy a new computer (minus the accessories you have), or upgrade that one. That's a very good deal, considering you get a 17" monitor.
