Why would all the text o my computer all of the sudden look like some old dot matrix stuff?

I know I am spoiled at work on a much newer lap top, but I swear I do not remember my own home lap top looking like this. I don't really know how to explain it, except all the text in every program, anything to do with the internet, ANYTHING..it all looks like it was printed on some old dot matrix machine. I am scared! HELP!!!

1. if your computer failed to load its fonts, it would result to loading its default "wingdings" fonts if the screen is covered in random boxes and shapes, this is probbably what happened. Try restarting your computer. or if this doesn't work, don't hesitate to tell your boss. Unless you were opening a program you shouldn't have, you won't be in trouble.
