Can you use an inkjet printer on laser paper?
I was looking up CD labels and all of them were laser paper. I was wondering if you could use an inkjet printer on the laser paper and was wondering if it would be any different

- no you can't
- I suspect that inkjet and laser paper are just slightly different but I have several inkjets and lasers and interchange paper all the time. The only time I cant is with photo paper which must match the inkjet. I have copier labels which I have used in both printers.
- yes
- Well yes you can, but you may not get the desired results. You may find that the labels will smear after they're printed because I believe that the labels are made with a different surface for ink jet as opposed to laser jet. Now I have used ink jet labels in a laser jet printer without a lick of problems. The best thing you could do would be to try it if a small package isn't too expensive, but check your printer settings to see if there are any special settings for labels. I know on my color laser printer I have to tell it specifically to print labels or they smear when they come out. I think it's got something to do with the heat applied to it, but that probably isn't the case for an ink jet. Hope that helps!
