MYOB retail ready, has anyone used it b4? Is it good? Any other recommendation for a small clothing retail?

Prefer below $1200 including hardware scanner, docket printer & till. All i need is POS, able to track sales and profit margin, check discount and refunds, etc. Thanks heaps =]

1. Hi Squid, Absolutely. I recommend both AccountEdge & Checkout - that is if you are on a Mac platform. Checkout is a powerful, elegant POS software that is easy to use & easy to set up. You can use it as a stand alone for your retail shop and run basic accounting reports or you can integrate it with MYOB AccountEdge and do full accounting for your business. AccountEdge can also be used as a POS but is a little more involved in the set-up. Both MYOB AccountEdge & Checkout work with barcode scanners (if you are thinking of going that route.) Have a look at their website for product specs & info. Both are by Acclivity Software. http://myob-us.com/products/ If you are on Windows, then MYOB Premier for Windows (Which is just the PC version of AccountEdge) will work just as well. Checkout is exclusive to the Mac platform.
