  1. You don't have to make any changes (beyond plugging a dot matrix printer in and installing drivers for it)
  2. U can print by installing dot matrix driver. Windows will auto config so it can print on ur dot matrix. U can print only text format as graphics part is not visible.
  3. Add a printer to your printer queue. Choose 'generic', then the dot-matrix printer on LPT1 If you have a laser printer that is your normal printer, then do not make your DMP the default. When you 'print' from Word, just choose the DMP over the default.
  4. Dot matrix printers tend to be older and may not Plug-N-Play the way modern printers do, so you might have to install the printer driver. Also, the driver disk must have a driver that works with the operating system (XP? Vista?) This, too, could be problematic. You could also try the printer manufacturer's web site to see if they have more up-to-date drivers. Beyond that, some of Word's formatting features may not be supported by the DMP. Good luck.
