How to protect confidential info on the ribbon when disposing used fax cartridges?

I tried to use the paper shredder, but it clogs the shredder. Does anybody have any idea? Thanks.

1. fire is always good how confidential can the info be if it appears at the top of every fax you send out?
2. Sounds like you need an industrial shredder, or access to one.
