- well unless you want to pay highstreet prices, rip offs or alternative unbranded items work just as well (or exactly, i bought some unbranded ink and it had more then the branded one has! branded was £29.99 (but i needed 5 seperate ones) so i paid£2.99 for each unbranded one). check on ebay.
- If you really want to have true color images, you will have to use the ink made for the model of your printer (not just the brand) and the paper as well. If that is not an issue, then get the cheapest ink you can find, generic or refills. I don't know exactly what you mean by "rip-offs" exactly. To me a rip off is when I pay more for a product than the MSRP. Paying $40 for an item marked as $29.95. If you are using your printer to make photographs, you are much better off paying less for prints made at a photo lab. It costs me over $.65 in paper and ink to make a 4x6 inch print. Costco charges me $.16 each.
- Refill kits are ok but you would be better off just buying the original cartriges, you can only refill them so many times before they fail....
- I buy mine from amazon, because they give you a link to buy alternatives and so far they have been very good for my canon printer on average I`m saving around £10 per order.
