Are there any other Cat Genie Sanisolution Smart Cartridge reset refill kits out there?

Before you answer I already know about the Instructable sites: http://www.instructables.com/id/CatGenie_Resetting_a_SaniSolution_Cartridge/ and http://www.instructables.com/id/Refilling_a_CatGenie_SaniSolution_Cartridge/ I’m not that technologically savvy! I also don’t want to hear about the GenieReset on Ebay. They are too expensive there. If I wanted one of those I would buy the GenieConnect (same thing) from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/GenieConnect-Cartridge-ReSet-ReFill-Kit/dp/B001M29A56/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1228103658&sr=8-1 or D. L. Harnden: http://www.dlharnden.com/Store/display_item_detail.asp?system=0&prodid=1&categid=1&subcategid=1&itemid=18602-001&wprodid=18602 Those are the two cheapest places to get them! I should have bought mine from one of those places, but my laptop doesn’t have a 9 db pin serial port. Instead I went with one of these. I thought it would be great! It was the cheapest product out there and seemed simple to use, but when I got it, it didn’t work and I couldn’t get a refund. Now I’m out a hundred bucks and I still can’t reset my cartridges! Don’t buy from these guys, or the same thing may happen to you. http://www.SmartCartridgeReset.com/ I want to know if there are any other ones out there? If not is there an adaptor for that 9 pin serial cable I can use? Sorry CatMan I put the wrong link in. I tried the link I used that went to Froogle and it came back as a deleted or removed item. After reviewing your product it looks nothing like the one I bought. Sorry if this caused you any aggrivation I had all my Cat Genie links saved on a notepad and I copied and pasted the wrong one.

  1. Hi concerned buyer. I am the person selling one of the reset devices on ebay. http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/geniereset It is the one that is handheld and does not require a computer or a 9 db pin serial port. Let me see if I can help with your concerns: 1. Cost - yes, unfortunately they are expensive. Each of the different devices are basically small computers that are programmed to reset the smartchip. The components that make up these reset devices are not cheap and putting one together takes time and electrical know-how. 2. Reliability - I can't speak for the other guys, but I guarantee my unit will work for you. When you buy through ebay and pay with Paypal you also have Paypal's guarantee and refund policy. I have a high 100% positive feedback rating on ebay and as such am trusted by ebay as an honest seller. If you have any problems whatsoever I will be happy to replace or refund your money. I hope that helps!
  2. Please don't trust what this person is reporting or the answer. I believe it's the same person. It's an abusive misrepresentation of my company to boost his own. I am the owner of http://www.SmartCartridgeReset.com/ and fully guarantee and warranty my devices! I have never had a customer complaint. Visit my website and contact me directly, see for yourself. I have reported this to Yahoo, so until they correct this injustice, don't always believe everything you read without doing your own research!
  3. Sorry Stepmom, I think I gave you that link. If the "Froogle" Google Base link is no good anymore then they either got caught or hightailed it out of town. I feel bad if you got ripped for my suggestion. Anyway, to answer your question since they're gone. I only know of the three companies left to sell what you're looking for. The CatMan guy and Ebay Merchant guy mentioned aboved my post, plus the one you already mentioned. To answer your other question yes you can get a 9 pin serial to usb adaptor and it should work fine. It kind of depends if the software will allow you to push the code through that port. You can get an adaptor any number of places online, or just go to your local Radio Shack.
