How can i refill my AC in my 95 chevy Blazer without going to mechanic?
My AC went out and only spits out hot air. I want to go to Kragen and buy a refill kit, but I have no clue what to buy. Do I just buy the artic refill kit, find where to plug it in, and do that? I have a 1995 chevy blazer 4 door model.

- There should be a sticker under the hood telling what kind of refrigerent it is. If it is R-12, you can NOT DIY. If it is R-134, they have kits with a can, can tap, hose, guage, and instructions. Because it is a '95, I would guess it to be R-12, but check.
- depends on rather or not your willing to risk having the can blowup in your face.....
- The reason that air conditioner is not putting out cold air is no freon, Right? Have you thought of where the freon that was in there went? How about you have a leak. If you go ahead and put freon back into the system, how long do you think it will stay there You really need to find the leak and fix it before you waste the money on more freon? I've done this so many times and no one listens. Fix the leak if you don't it will just run out and be empty again.
- You could try that. But, your system may have a refrigerant leak or other system malfunction. If a mechanic repairs it you will have some type of warranty, if you do it & then it stops working.... your wallet is your warranty. Thousands of dollars in equipment is required to CORRECTLY perform A.C. service. Either way, Good Luck!
