Has any one had any experience using computer catridge refill kits Positive or negative?

- I tried one once on my HP printer just made a big mess, printed badly and leaked eveywhere
- Negative...took one to a refill kiosk in the mall, and even though they claimed it works in 97% of cartridges, it didn't work for me. And my cartridge was on their list of ones that would work, too. All it did was leak and get sh*t everywhere.
- Walgreens Drug Store offers that service. Lots cheaper than new cartridges.
- I have a Lexmark X75 Print Trio and I tried the refill kit. Didn't work. They are messy too. Make sure it will work with your printer. I didn't and almost had to buy a new printer. FYI : Lexmark Print Trio X 75 does not accept refill ink
- Love it !!! definately cheaper to use. The only problem is even though the company tells you it is ok to use they will not cover any failure of the printer because you are using refillable cartridges. If you have an old printer go for it. I get 300 pages out of a refilled cartridge using the low quality.
- If you follow the directions carefully typically there is not a problem. The quality sometimes my not be as good as if you bought OEM printer catridge. I have used these many times and have not had a problem.
- Positive, I have a Dell 1100 laser printer and in ebay I buy 3 refill bottles good to refill 3 times for only less than $20.00 with the 3 fuses and the shipping included. Great deal at a great price, Dell sells the toners for like $65.00 each.
- I just change the catrige
- It highly depends upon what you are trying to refill. I have a cartridges that is easy to refill, and prints seamlessly if you do a good job of it. The cartridge itself is about 8 years old (it is the one that came with the printer). It is an older style HP, which are very robust and durable cartridges. if you have an epson, don't try it. If you have a brother, don't try it. If you have a newer canon, same story. Lexmarks usually do not print well after refilling, and newer HPs have a memory on them so you may encounter errors on that front. If you are looking for a savings on ink consider a good re-manufactured cartridge or a compatible, if they are available in your brand.
- 100% negative. The ink you buy with the refill kits is usually substandard, and will cause damage to your printer over time. Also, it makes a big mess and is a lot of work. Local refilling services are unfortunately just as bad, because the ink they use is bad quality most of the times, which will cause damage to your printer. Plus, if you have a newer printer, a plain refill is worthless, since your cartridge most likely contains a computer chip that will make it stop working, even if you refill it. The best quality/price will come with professionally remanufactured cartridges. These offer quality ink, quality testing, chip reset and much more. You basically get a new cartridge for 75% cheaper. The online store I have been using for ages is http://123inkjet.o-pedia.com They offer quality services and products, free shipping in US and Canada, and their prices are one of the lowest. I have purchased over 4500$ worth of ink from them, but it only ended up costing me less than 1000$
- Inkjet refill kit success depends on a few factors. The most important is what type of cartridge are you refilling? Hewlett Packard cartridges with attached printheads usually work out the best. Epson and newer Canon inkjet cartridges can't be refilled with the use of expensive chip reset tools. The chips lock after a set number of printed pages and the printer will no longer accept them even if they are refilled with ink. Lexmark and Dell can be refilled, but are often difficult because the ink inside the cartridge has a tendency to thicken up and gel up after a while. This causes the cartridges to clog. The other factory regardless of if you are refilling a, HP, Lexmark or Dell is how long has the cartridge been empty? You generally should refill an inkjet cartridge right before it goes empty or right after. This way the inside doesn't get a chance to dry out. If you decide to refill your cartridge don't try using it when the ink is low. You will burn out the printheads and no matter how much ink you put inside the print will be bad. So, if you decide to refill have a refill kit ready before your cartridge runs out of ink.
