  2. 1) Take it to an electronics waste dump site. 2) Call your local health or environmental safety office, which should locate you a place where you can dispose of your contact cleaner. 3) Either a battery-powered vacuum, or a compressed air can (make sure the can is facing upright when you do it). 4) IDE/PATA (Hard Drive) cable, FDD (Floppy Disk Drive) cable...Can someone else help me out with #4? 5) You can cause a stress fracture on the expansion card, which can damage the card, and render it useless. You can also damage the actual expansion slot and cause it to come loose from its position on the motherboard. 6) A video card. 7) There's not really "tools" but there are practical methods. Pick from the follow: Remove all jewelry, remove all cords out of the back of the comptuer, stand up when working on the computer, don't work during a storm, and don't wear stuff that conducts electrostatic charge more (such as a wool sweater). 8) Anything that can plug into a USB port, that will automatically trip the computer when plugged in. If it doesn't auto-trip, then you know it doesn't work. 9) Clean the case out, check cable connections, check case and CPU fans to make sure they're in proper order, etc. 10) Use the original packing for your computer, if you still have it. "Park and Lock" your hard drive disk, if it doesn't already do it upon shut down. Remove all disks from their drives.
