my HP officejet 7210 all-in-one printer has a little hole in the ribbion? anyone help me with this? PLZZ PLZZ?

the place where u insert the ink cartridge...in the back of the slot there is a ribbon...and that ribbon has a small hole...so in the small screne it says PLZ INSERT BLACK INK CARTRIDGE....and even if i do insert a cartride it still says that...so is there anything i can do to prevent from this from saying....because i cant not print when this comes...and it WONT let me move on to any menu or anything.!!!plz help

1. Sounds like you have a hole/tear in the wiring ribbon that carries the signals from the printer to the printhead. This is really not repairable other than to have that wiring film replaced. This probably won't be cheap due to the labor charges required. Is it still under warranty? You might be able to get if fixed if it is. Otherwise you might want to check into buying a replacement printer. You could find another one like yours cheap somewhere to use or use the parts out of it to fix yours.
