Can some ink cartridges from one manufacturer be used in another manufacturers printer?
I have an epson inkjet printer and it seems that some of the HP ink cartridges look identical to the epson ones. Just want to see if any of them are ever interchangeable because I don't want to mess up my printer. :D

- Do not use ink cartridges that are not made for your printer, unless the maker of the ink cartridges specifically say that you can. Just because the cartridge look similar on the outside, they are not similar at all on the inside!
- No. They are not interchangeable. You can damage our printer. HP ink cartridges are specifically designed for HP printers. I wouldn't even risk using the generic brand. The quality is not as good and there's a risk of leakage.
- No. Although the cartridges are the shape and size in some cases, the key is the actual chip. Each manufacturer creates chips for their cartridges that only work with their printers. So while the cartridge may slide into place, there is no way that the printer would be able to recognize the ink cartridge.
