What's the best way to ship a used Epson inkjet printer?

I'm worried about ink leakage if I leave the cartridges in, and the print head getting fouled by dried ink if I leave them out. The printer is an Epson R800. Thanks.

1. Take the cartidge out but put it in the same box. Ship it UPS ground.
2. Take off the cartridges, seal the nozzile of the cartridge using a cello tape or something like that.Keep the cartridges in a closed container.Then i am sure that your printer head as well as your cartridges will be saved.
