Are Pitney Bowes ribbons recyclable?

I know there are many things that seem as if they wouldn't be recyclable, and I wasn't sure if anyone knew if the Pitney Bowes ribbon cartridges (the red thing) are too. Anyone know? Thanks!

1. To the best of my knowledge, ribbon cartridges, in general, have gone the way of the dinosaur, and were never recyclable (some could be "re-inked", but it's too expensive and time consuming, now). However, if you have a LOT of them, there are a scant few companies that will actually pay you for them! I don't like to advertise companies, so I can only suggest that you enter "recycle typewriter ribbon", without the quotes, into your favorite search engine, and see what appears.
