Is there any way I can add a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 612C printer to my Dell computer? I know there is not plug in, on the Dell for the printer, but can I set the printer as remote access? OK, I went to walmart and got a USP parallel printer adapter, with user manual and printer adapter, a tiny disk to put in my computerk, and I was so tickled that I was going to be able to print. But the adapter does not fit the hewlett Packard Plug, and the walmart employee told me that all the adapters were the same size. Now what do I do, and can I take the darn think back, the package was really hard to get into and I cut it up with sissors. Cost me 22 dollars.

Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3920? Where is the cheapest site in the uk to get ink cartridges for this printer? They dont have to be hp the equivalent is fine!!
Hewlett Packard Deskjet Printer: I found a large clump of black ink inside printer! Plus, a few other problems When I was replacing the ink cartridges for my HP inkjet printer, I looked inside the printer with a flashlight...on the right side near the bottom of the printer, I saw black shiny gunk. I put on a latex glove & wedged my hand in there & was able to remove a solid glop of black ink. That area had a significant amount of wet black ink, too. Does this mean that my HP black ink cartridge leaked? How could this happen that a big glop of black ink settled on the right bottom side of the printer? Also, when I use the HP toolbox to check the level of ink in the cartridges, it's no longer accurate. Plus, I just installed a brand new HP color ink cartridge, and every time I print something, a window pops up and states that the color ink cartridge is improperly installed. But it's properly installed. I used a remanufactured color ink cartridge from Staples for a few months and, during this time, some of the problems started with it saying color cartridge was improperly installed. The printer is no longer under warranty. I had meant to clarify that the glop of black-looking ink was located in the area below where the ink cartridge harness rests when the printer isn't in use. So if an ink cartridge is leaking, it would build up in the location I described. For manually cleaning HP ink cartridges, HP recommends using distilled or bottled water & cotton swabs or similar lint-free material. "Do NOT touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts." Make sure the print cartridges are not outside of the printer for more than 30 minutes.
Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3847 printer troubleshooting? I have printing problems with my printer. The procedure I am using is going to START, PRINTERS and FAXES, right click the printer icon, click PROPERTIES, then click PRINTING PREFERENCES on the page, then click PRINTER HELP. On the left are many items to choose from. TROUBLESHOOTING is clicked, then click the PROBLEM, then click the PROBLEM SOLUTION, then click TOOLBOX. When TOOLBOX is clicked to be opened, I get kicked back to the PROBLEM without the TOOLBOX being opened. How do I get the TOOLBOX to open?

How Do I Get My Printer Working Again? It's a Hewlett Packard Deskjet D1341. It was showing "offline". I got it back "online". It's showing "ready" now but it still won't print. I have turned everything off, unplugged everything, rebooted three times. There is no start or resume button on the printer. The test print HP was supposed to send didn't print. What do I do?
How LONG should home printers last? I have a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 950c. I bought it between 1995 and 1997. For some reason, as of today, first the black ink wouldn't work, now it doesn't print, at all. How long should a printer, purchased brand new, be expected to last? Should I try to have it repaired, or is it just time to replace it?
Does anyone know where I can download the software for my hp camera and deskjet printer? Hewlett Packard Photosmart 435 camera HP Deskjet F380 All-In-One printer I bought the printer and camera off of ebay. The discs weren't included although I thought from reading the info providing on the ebay page for the items the person was including them. I was wrong however. So now I need to find the software. HP DeskJet 940c - grinding noises from print cartridge cradle!? Hi everyone! I have a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 940c printer, which has normally worked very well. However, it is not currently working as it should; when I send a document to it, the printer recognises it, and prepares the cartridge cradle to move. However, the preperation "noises" are much louder than usual now, and after moving about a centimetre or two away from the idle position, the cradle stops, and all three lights flash erratically on their own accord. When any button is pressed, they then flash once every second, all together this time. The printer then does not respond - the only way to power down is to cut the power from the wall. When turned on again, it is absolutely fine - until you send another document to it! I'm sorry this is so long-winded, but I have tried to include as much detail as possible. I have used the website "fixyourownprinter", but this has been to no avail on this occasion. I hope that someone here will be able to help me! Thanks! UPDATE: I have cured the grinding noises, but the machine still retains all other faults. It will not print, and still flashes the lights erratically. It can now also be switched off by the printer's interface, as opposed to having to unplug it from the mains - however, after about 10 seconds, it switches on again of it's own accord.
HP DeskJet 5150 - mad printer! Does random actions & does not cooperate! Help? Hi everyone! I have a rather temperamental Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5150 printer, which has previously worked very well indeed. However, it has developed a rather unusual problem, which is not like any problem I have seen before. When powered up, the power light is usually on and the ink light flashes. However, other times, it attempts to start printing a document - and fails, simply stopping whatever it is doing and flashing one light after the other, in sequence. When correctly started, however, I attempt to send a document to the printer. It either deletes the job from the queue on the computer, or the printer simply ignores it. In addition, it will not print a self-test page, either from computer or by using the printer interface. When I examined the cartridges, the cradle decided to try and move - with the top cover wide open - and this resulted in a loud snapping noise, coming from the inside of the printer. Nothing additional has gone wrong since this loud noise, but all the other problems I have described are still affecting it. I notice that my surge-protected socket unit is no longer surge-protected, the LED having gone out. This was following a series of power-cuts to my house over the past year or so - however, this never affected the printer in previous times. I'm sorry this is so long-winded, but I have tried to include as much detail as possible. I have used the website "fixyourownprinter", but this has been to no avail on this occasion. I hope that someone here will be able to help me! Thanks!
Printer is not picking up the beginning of a story? I have a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 692C and I see an article on the Yahoo homepage that I want to print out. When I click on the "print" button the article, the printer starts out printing from the bottom of the story and does NOT give me the start of the story. Anyone know how do correct this problem? This just recently started about 2 days ago - and it has me scratching my head on what to do?
Is there a difference between printer papers? I am using a 10 year old Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 950C printer. It seems to work fine on generic photo paper, or on brand name paper. My question is: Is there really a difference between papers used by InkJets, DeskJets, LaserJets, etc.? I want to know if matte photo paper, listed as InkJet, from Epson will give a decent picture, on an H.P. DeskJet printer?
Where to find older print cartridges? Where is the best place to find older print cartridges like for example, Hewlett Packard Deskjet 722C and ones similar to that? Are there places online which sell these cartidges?
Need New Printer cartridges Do I have to buy two? I have a Hewlett packard deskjet printer model 5552 I only need black ink, so do i need to buy the colour cartridge as well as the black one or can I get away with buying just the black one on its own ?? T
Can't find how to reply to a post. Do not buy the HP Deskjet f4135 printer. Software and printer don't work! Somebody had posted a question about this printer: Hewlett Packard HP Deskjet F4135 All-In-One Printer. I bought two of these, based on their price. Created a nightmare on both computers they were installed on. Both running XP. Never had problems with either computer previously. Installed these printer on both computers and now both computers crash every single day, at least once, sometimes several times. Both freeze up, sometimes for as long as 10-15 minutes several times per day. While the price on these printers may be low, they do not work and will become a nightmare. If you already purchased - return them. If you can't return them, throw them away. Yes, tried their website - but the link to the software update for this printer is a dead link! And yes, I did send them a notice of the dead link.
Should I buy Christmas gifts now or wait? I wanna buy my mom this http://www.target.com/Hewlett-Packard-DeskJet-All-Printer/dp/B000QY6S74/sr=1-1/qid=1227068846/ref=sr_1_1/191-5021891-6457329?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3AHP%20F4180&page=1 should I get it now or wait until christmas time really comes? And could I find one similar but cheaper?
Helpless! Please answer before 5pm!? Last year, I purchased a color ink-jet printer-a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet. Until recently the printer worked flawlessly. Lately, however, when I go to print a document or letter, the ink is smearing and the print quality is poor. What can I do to solve this solution?
UGH! Please help. My printer won't print (see details) and my 12 yr old son needs to print homework asap!? Ok. So I went and got a new ink cartridge from Walmart (black) and took my color to refill at Walgreens. I have no color cartridge installed, is this why it won't print? I have a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 842C. I am computer stupid, so your help is appreciated. My son has two papers to print and it is after midnight. Obviously, they are due in the morning. Help! Please tell me there is a way to print without a color cartridge. I only need to print in black, a couple of Word documents. Thanks!! This just goes to show that I am a world class idiot when it comes to all things computer... Thanks for the link sassylass. It cleary states that I am the world's stupidest mother and I must have both cartridges to be able to print. talanstormrider, thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but it doesn't work. Not your fault, I hate this printer. The stupid cartridges for this thing are $30 for black and $33 for color. It's ridiculous. Thank you to all of you. I managed to save the stuff to a disk (is that what it is called? I go with plastic square thing). I will print them in the morning. Now I just have to convince my computer programmer husband (he is sleeping through all my drama) that his wife is not the world's most computer illiterate ignoramous when he gets up in the morning!!
