How to fix my Datacard Imagecard S2 AIT printer ribbon? I recently bought a Datacard Imagecard S2 (Select Class) card printer with AIT (Advanced Imaging Technology) and am having trouble getting the print ribbon to work correctly. I have contact my nearest Datacard dealer, and made sure I have bought all the necessary parts to keep the printer running, as well as the Full Color (4-Color YMCKT-KT) print ribbon which allows me to print on both sides of the card. I have two ideas of what the problem could be, but need a solution: 1)The SmartDriver printer toolbox doesn't allow me to change the print ribbon type to YMCKT-KT. It only allows me to select YMCKT, K, or KT. 2)I don't know how to install the printer ribbon correctly. I have no clue what order the colors of the print ribbon are supposed to go in (Clear, Black, Yellow, Red, and Blue) nor what color is supposed to be first when installing the print ribbon to the spindle. I have looked online and have found only text instructions for this answer, but they don't tell me what color I am supposed to start with, and no diagrams are given. If you have any expertise or experience with ID card printers, I would greatly appreciate some advice or answer. Thank you! I just don't know how to align the color panels on the panel. How do I Unplug the printer and monitor on my Acer 3610? I managed to get the main panel off, and i can lift up the keyboard, but I can't get it unplugged (the ribbon) i tried tugging the ribbon a little but i didn't want to chance breaking anything. They seem to be prevalent when there is going to be a lot of bending back and forth. They are a fraction of an inch thick, but can be any number of wire wide. my print carriage is slamming hard against the opposide side of printer..never did that before? pror to this it was jamming and saying no connection. the printer wheel would just spin and then it would say it was jammed. I looked where you put the paper and there was a flat ribbon of plastic and only one end was connected to anything and one freefloating and not connected to anything.. I don't know if it has anything to do with the carriage slamming or if it is supposed to be connected at both ends..what could be wrong, expensive? Printer is dell 725 and less than 4 months old but I think not under warrenty so any advice would be appprecated.

Is there any way of refilling ribbon cartridges? i have a samsung sp2020 photo printer and can only find original cartridges. but they are quite expensive as it would cost at least 25p per photo, whereas i can get them done in the shops from 7p. is there any way of refilling ribbon cartridges myself or at least are there cheaper compatible ribbon cartridges?

Help printer not working..need troubleshooting help..less than 4 months old? I was trying to print something and I could hear the wheel spinning but not grabbing the parer..it would then say paper jam or sometimes no coumminications. I tried repeatedly bu tno success. Then I noticed a flat ribbon plastic cordlike thing where the paper goes (it is a dell 725) was loose and maybe cut (that is one end was loose. I have no idea if it is supposed to be loose or if both ends should be connected. I picked up and turned it arond. Then tried it and it made this loud cluck sound everytime I hit the power buttom I opened it and it was the mechanism where the ink goes itno..well when I hit power, the whole thing is sliding rapidly from the one side to the other and hitting the side of the printer. It never was like that before...real loud and all. What is broken. I looked my the code for it (idnetifier on the back of printer and dell site say it was not under warrenty (my kids bought it when they bought the computer).. What should I do..can it be fixed can I fix it myself and is it expensive or is it done for. Please be detailed in your advice. I'm upset. thanks

I had one of my friends who happens to have a degree in graphic design make the labels with our names on them. Now I need to find printer paper that is pre-punched for the labels! I don't want it to be sticky paper, just paper that is like cardstock, but is pre-punched so I don't have to cut it at all! Please help.
