POS thermal receipt printer Epson TM-T88IV two-color mode? I just received my POS printer today. I was wondering if anyone else had experience with these printers? Do you know how to change it to 2-color mode? It's currently only printing black. I would like black and red. I know it's capable, I just don't know how to set it. I've looked around on the internet and haven't come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

Where do restaurateurs go to buy POS printers? Do you search online? Have a distributor? Yellow pages? I own a restaurant and need to purchase a new Epson Point of Sale printer, and I'm not sure how to go about it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am sick of this pos Epson CX74000 all in one. It has let me down for the last time. It will not print in ? black. I have cleaned the head and changed the cartridge now it is almost out of colored ink because of that. I would like a recommendation for a printer scanner fax that won't break me on ink and is reliable. I do not print that often, but when I need it I do not want to be let down again. THank you

How do I create virtual USB Printer Port? I need to install a GENERIC/TEXT printer. I've gone thru the Windows XP USB detect plug and play and it can't install the printer. It's an Epson receipt printer and you can't get the drivers from Epson POS. You've got to register and then wait for access. So, I need a way to manually create the USB Virtual printer port. Thanks! The only ports under printer properties are LPT1 and COM ports. Also, you can add a port but need to know how to make it a USB Virtual Port.

I have 2 Computers, 2 voyager 9500 series scanners, 2 epson u220 reciept printers with appropriate keyboards and cash drawers. I would like to hook them up at the counter and have my office computer be the server. How do I go about getting the software and installing the setup? Does someone make a 100% compatible Parallel port card? I have been trying to hook up a Epson POS printer that worked fine with an older computer with a new computer that doesn't have a integrated Parallel port and I tried a couple PCI add-in cards and couldn't make it work. I called Epson and they told me that the printer won't work with add-in cards. I did some research and found that most cards emulate a Parallel port with their drivers. My logic is that If I get a DOS compatible card it works just like a motherboard port. But maybe it just uses special DOS drivers. Anybody have more information? pos printer problem, already installed drivers? i just downloaded drivers for my epson 0220 pd , and when i go into printers and faxes the printer is their but it says not ready, it wont print a test page or anything, do i need some kind of software or something whats going on help im going crazy

The connection on the back of th eprinter is that of a parallel DB-25 cable and says rs-232. So i took a cable which connected my serial port on the comp. to the parallel on the printer. But nothing seems to print, not even the test page. The pritner status is "Ready" on the control panel. Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks. The port on the back of the pritner is a db25 female (indentical to the ones commonly found on the back of computers) and the cable i am using to connect it goes straight to my serial port. the cable is a female to female since the serial port on the back of my computer is male (with the pins sticking out).

Problems connecting a pos system? I bought an indiana cash drawer and a epson thermal printer both of them come with large cables the entrances seem like the monitor cables what kind i do to make them work and connect to my computer I already connected the bar code gun but I need to connect the cash drawer and the thermal printer please help.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 well I have the software that I will use and its working for me I just need to know about the cables how to connect them. What is the Font for receipt usually used ? Hi, I am really confuse right now. I am making an application for retail shop (POS), I am using an EPSON printer TM-U220. It's a dot matrix printer. These days, I collected some receipt from other store as samples. I count the columns, most of them have 40 columns. I've tried every font that my computer has with font size 9 and 10, but none of them can reach 40 columns. And some of the words of the fonts that I tried with font size 9 become hard to read. Is it because my printer only has 9 pins ?
