Discount Inkjet Printers Knowledge Base

I have a Dell printer Do I have to buy directly from Dellcom or can I find discount Dell Inkjet Ink Cartridge? I just dont want to pay high prices for Dell inkjet cartridges. I used to be able to find remanufactured and generic cartridges for my other printer supplies. But with Dell it seems like I am stuck with them. Any ideas?
Discount Inkjet Cartridges: Any satisfied users? I have an Epson printer and cannot affort Epson ink cartridges. Can anyone recommend a dependable company that sells cartridges that will not damage my printer. Many people say that damage is inevitable, but I know lots of folks buy discount cartridges. I have been using 123inkjets for one year. I had no problems. They were using G&G cartridges. This month, for the first time, they sent me a no-name cartridge with a small hole at the top. I am afraid ink will spill and hurt the printer. I got ink on my fingers when I installed the cartridge. The printer is noisier with this cartridge but the quality of the print is the same. I have an Epson Stylus CX5800F. I have been told that the new cartridge is compatible even though it uses gravity feed. Epson's cartridges do not. I do not want to ruin my printer and would welcome the names of a reputable discounter. I would really like advice from persons with Epson printers who have used discounted cartridges successfully.
Anybody heard anything about free same printer inkjet cartridges? If yes where can I find that place? Somebody mentioned that there is a place you can get free sample inkjet cartridges (I mean FREE, not discount or discounted cartridges)? I don't remember the name of that online store, but hoping some one else knows about.
Business Inkjet 1100 printer says "out of black ink", when I replace the cartridge it still won't print. Why? I have a Business Inkjet 1100 printer. It says "out of black ink", but when I replace a fresh cartridge it prints only the first line and then gives me the same message "out of black ink... replace cartridge". I know it prints because I was able to print a Configuration Page. I did the recommended steps for printer head cleaning by holding down the power button and pushing the red "X" button twice. When I called HP they wanted to charge me 40 bucks for tech support, which I thought was BS. Or, they wanted to give me a discount on a new printer. Even though my printer is 6 years old it's practically new. I mean I've only printed maybe a 1000 pages (which is nothing) Please help... Thank you in advance:)
How long do unopened HP inkjet cartridges last before drying out from no use? Right now there's a sale where I can get HP ink cartridges for my printer for 25% off, but because part of the savings is a volume discount, I have to buy at least 6 combo packs (1 black + 1 tricolor each). Should I be worried about some of the cartridges' drying out before I ever get the chance to use them? How long will an HP cartridge last if I don't open its packaging and just keep it in my desk?
Questions on starting a small home-based graphic design and printing biz? My husband and his brother are both restaurateurs and over the past couple of years I have designed menus for both of their establishments. I know many other people in the restaurant industry and people with other small businesses that could use a local printer to handle smaller jobs in logo design, menu layout and design, business cards, etc. What I need to know is what kind of equipment would be good for printing (for example) somewhat glossy larger pages, such as those used for to-go menus, and how do printing companies make those embossed, raised-image business cards? What equipment would be good for a small business like the one I am thinking of putting together? I already have a separate computer that I use for my designing and whatnot, along with a drawing tablet and inkjet printer. What I need is printing equipment. I am getting ready to go back to school to study graphic design next fall and am ready to get started professionally in this field. If I am better off still taking my product to a printer, I understand that if I am being paid by the client, most printers will give you a discount (commission) for brokering their services. I have a 12'x13' spare bedroom that I can dedicate to any equipment I may need, but would rather keep it as small as possible. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Existing scanner/printer is incompatible with Vista- what would YOU do? I have a Canon F30 inkjet scanner/printer that is 5 years old and works FINE. Recently, my CPU bit the dust, so I bought a new oshibalaptop, for portability's sake. When I went to install my printer's drivers, I found out it wouldn't accept Vista. No problem, I figured, so I went to Canon's website to install the prober, updated driver, and found out CANON DIDN"T BOTHER TO MAKE ONE, NOR DID THEY PLAN TO! Their customer support" was snide and offered me an unspecified "customer loyalty discount"(probably 10%) on a NEW purchase. I NEED a scanner for business(I'm a part-time cartoonist, plus I sell a LOT of comics on eBay), but I have a handicapped child and hence not a lot of money. Is there a fix, should, I buy a used model, a new one, or is it possible to piggyback a scanner through the printer function(that WILL still function if I download a non-Microsoft-approved emulator)?
Best way to buy printer ink? from mfg? from retailers? from online discount-huts? Where's the cheapest, fastest, most-reliable way to get ink for an inkjet? Specifically I need lexmark 15+16 cartridges.
