What is causing my printer to print text which is not sharp? Regular standard black text is printing out blurry/fuzzy, compared side by side to a good print from another source. Every cleaning service was used about a dozen times- align cartridges, clean cartridges, print test page etc.The cartridges were changed (with refills- may also be part of the problem, but the issue was before this change also.) Does this have anything to do with the ribbon? Need new cartridges? What will fix this problem? Thank you for any help!!!

ink cartridge? i have a hp officejet 6110 all-in-one printer. i took the ink cartridge out and replaced it. now it won't print. i can't even turn off the printer with the on/off button. None of the buttons work. im thinking maybe somthing happened with the ink cartridge when i put it in like maybe i left some ribbon or something on it? the ink cartridges won't move over so i can get to them to check. what can i do?

help with Brother ax-10 typewriter? My typewriter seems to be stuck in the erase position, and/or change ink cartridge position. when I bought it there was no ink ribbon cartridge insalled. It was in up position and I installed a ink ribbon cartridge but can not lower it. Is there a code for lowering the cartridge to the typing position? Is it supposed to lower on its own when I close the top cover?Or is something else wrong? I didn't receive a manual when I bought it and if someone knows the code system it would be very helpful. What is the deal with Ink for Injet Printers lasting for a much shorter time. This is a Jip!? Many moons ago, I remember my old okidata printer. I could go through boxes and boxes of paper before I had to replace what then was called a ribbon. Then came new technology. So I get a bubblejet from Canon. Cartridge was $30 but I could print heavy use for months with no issues. So I got a new computer and sold all my old stuff. Months went by where I would just print things up at work. I basically want to shop around for a new printer. So this weekend, I broke down and got a Lexmark Z1300m from Wal-Mart. Its your basic printer but does what I need it to do and prints B&W documents quite nicely. So lets recap something. How many sheets of paper come in a bundle? Usually 500 right? Great. Ok, well this printer has officially ticket me off. First, it comes with a limited use color cartridge. Not an issue. I understand why. But most people would probably print out something in B&W, right? Like school reports or a Resume'. . So my question is..... WHY DOES MY BLACK IN CARTRIDGE, THAT I HAD TO BUY BY THE WAY FOR $19.78 ADDITIONAL TO THE PRINTER RUN OUT AT AROUND 230 PAGES!!!!! What the mother efff is this? Lets do the math. So basically it is 8.6cents per page. Thats crazy! The reason why I am posting this in etiquette is because what is happening to the printer market? Do they not care anymore? I mean, ribbons and cartridges used to last soooooooo much longer. Like 5 to 7 times as longer. What is the deal? . FYI: Every single page printed were B&W documents and nothing of photo quality. I didn't even have my color carrtidge installed because I didn't want to open it prematurely and I didn't need it. I don't feel I need to buy a laser printer because I don't normally use the printer at home often. Just every once in awhile, I have to print a large amount of documents at home.

Concentrate under reduced pressure? This may come across as a stupid question, but I was wondering how to 'concentrate under reduced pressure' (as quoted in a journal I am following)? I am currently trying to purify a toxin extracted from a ribbon worm sample. As well as doing various things such as using an ultrasonicator on the sample once added to 5ml of 0.1% acetic acid, as well as boiling and centrifuging it, the journal then says that 'the supernatant was concentrated under reduced pressure and loaded on to a C18 Sep-Pak Cartridge'. This unbound portion was then collected and concentrated to dryness. I did some quick research and found that I would have to use something called a rotary evaporator (or a rotavap).I looked this up on Wikipedia, and found this snippet: "A rotary evaporator (or rotavap) is a device used in chemical laboratories for the efficient and gentle removal of solvents from samples by evaporation. When referenced in the chemistry research literature, description of the use of this technique and equipment may include the phrase "rotary evaporator", though use is often rather signaled by other language (e.g., "the sample was evaporated under reduced pressure")". I was wondering whether 'evaporating under reduced pressure' is the same as 'concentrating under reduced pressure', and if so, will I still be able to use a rotary evaporator? Dell 540 Photoprinter refills? Does anyone know where I can order a printpak (includes the ribbon and paper refill) for a Dell 540 photo printer? It's a very small desktop printer that uses film-like printer cartridges - not inkjet cartridges. So far I can only find them from Dell and they messed up the order the first time around. Every time I search at Staples or Office Depot all I get are inkjet refill cartridges. Maybe it's proprietary and I can only get it from Dell. Any suggestions? I live in Maryland in the U.S.

pokemon diamond bored fake ver.? so i got a fake ds poke diamond game from hong kong andi finished it i want to get more pokemon and get all ribbons on them but i cant get some pokemon since some areas are glitched no pokemon like stark mountain i need to know how to fix my game to play AR on it like the game id for it is DSGB-37364A61 and it dosent work it identifies the game but then when i do one simple code like x999 masterballs when i save code and play it the screen goes white and then stays like it what do i do it could be half half real/fake 50/50 50% cause it has nintendo on the back of the cartridge and it has to be real but then again it has a different sticker on front then real one like real has no dialga or palkia on front and fake does i do so what i do to fix game to make it work with AR? thank you and please tell me how i would really reallllllyyyyy appreciate it.

Is it possible to make an old phonograph play new 33's? I've got a neat old portable phonograph (the wind-up kind) that I just love, but it only plays shellac 78's from the first half of the century, and I was wondering if I made a few tweaks, would I be able to play a 33 or 45? Now don't get me wrong, I know the difference between the new and old records, if I plop down a vinyl record on there and play it with a steel needle, I'll shred it to ribbons, though I had an idea: I've heard it's possible to slow down the turntable with the break to about 45-33 rpm and if I were to finagle some kind of new needle from a cartridge in the sound box while simultaneously taking some weight off the tonearm (maybe by suspending it with a string?) would that be just crazy enough to work? Or do vinyl records absolutely require electronic amplification? Would the sound be too quiet? What do you think? If I COULD get it to work, it would be totally awesome... Has anyone tried this before? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also I didn't really know which category to post this in...
